ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Interested in the dynamic world of digital marketing This internship offers hands-on experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), a crucial area of digital marketing.

Join our young, engaging team as an SEO intern and learn the ins and outs of SEO. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain a deep understanding of how SEO fits within the broader digital marketing strategy.

The SEO Intern will work with Account teams, Creative teams, and Performance Marketing Specialists to drive not only daily account responsibilities associated with Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Analytics, and using third-party SEO tools such as Yoast, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog, but important business outcomes for NP Digital Malaysia clients.

To be considered, candidates must currently reside and be eligible to work in Malaysia.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keyword Research: Conduct keyword research to identify relevant and high-potential search terms for the website content.
• On-Page Optimisation: Optimise website content on international web properties. This includes optimising page titles, meta descriptions, image optimisation, content enhancement, etc.
• Off-Page Optimisation: Monitoring the website backlink profile and carrying out a health check to identify the low quality links.
• Website Auditing: Assist in analysing and identifying areas on a website that need optimisation using tools such as Ahref, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Technical SEO: Aiding in improving HTML semantics and creating structured data markup for websites.
• Competitor Analysis: Conducting research to understand the competitive landscape and identify ways to enhance your marketing strategies.
• Reporting: Assist in collecting website data and offer performance insights using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.

ABOUT YOU

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Multimedia, Computer Science or equivalent.
• This internship should be initiated as an academic requirement accompanied by an official letter from your university. Candidates currently in the final semester are preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with WordPress or any content management system (CMS) is a bonus but not required.
• Strong command of verbal and written English skills in a professional setting. Proficiency in additional languages such as Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is a plus point.
• A can-do attitude, able to thrive both in teams and independently with minimal supervision.
