Job Purpose

The IR Intern will support the Human Resources team, particularly in Industrial Relations (IR) matters, by assisting in documentation, data management, employee engagement activities, and exposure to IR-related cases and policies. This internship provides hands-on experience in HR operations with a focus on employee relations and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in IR-related documentation (e.g., warning letters, memos, and meeting minutes).
  • Support in tracking employee disciplinary cases, grievances, and counseling sessions.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems for employee records and IR documents.
  • Conduct research on employment laws, IR practices, and HR compliance matters.
  • Assist in drafting reports and presentations for management on IR issues.
  • Participate in employee engagement programs and HR projects when required.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR/IR team in day-to-day operations.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the HR/IR team.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong interest in HR and Industrial Relations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
