Job Description

Role Overview

The Marketing & Operations Intern will support the execution of marketing initiatives, franchisee engagement activities, centre support operations, partnership development, customer enquiries, event coordination, reporting, and administrative functions. This internship provides hands-on exposure to educational franchise management, marketing campaigns, business operations, customer engagement, sponsorship management, and event execution.

The intern will work closely with multiple departments, including Development & Operations, Centre Management & Growth (CMG), and Public Relations (PR).

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Support

  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Support social media content planning and scheduling.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
  • Assist in preparing marketing materials, presentations, and promotional items.
  • Monitor and compile campaign performance reports.
  • Collect testimonials, success stories, and centre achievements for marketing use.
  • Attend marketing events, roadshows, exhibitions, and brand activation activities.

Sponsorship & Partnership Development

  • Assist in identifying potential sponsors and strategic partners for events, competitions, and marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare sponsorship proposals, partnership decks, and presentation materials.
  • Follow up with potential sponsors, venue providers, schools, and community partners.
  • Coordinate sponsorship deliverables and maintain sponsorship records.
  • Assist in securing cash and in-kind sponsorships, prizes, vouchers, and promotional support.
  • Support the management of relationships with sponsors and external stakeholders.

Customer & Enquiry Management

  • Attend to enquiries from parents, prospective customers, franchise prospects, and business partners through various communication channels.
  • Respond professionally to general enquiries and direct them to the relevant departments when necessary.
  • Maintain records of enquiries, leads, and follow-up actions.
  • Support customer engagement activities and lead generation initiatives.

Operations Support

  • Assist in maintaining franchisee and centre databases.
  • Compile operational reports, surveys, and dashboard updates.
  • Support communication between HQ and centres.
  • Follow up on operational documentation and submissions.
  • Assist in preparing materials for meetings, training sessions, conferences, and franchisee engagements.
  • Perform data entry and ensure accurate record keeping.

Event & Project Coordination

  • Assist in organising roadshows, competitions, educational fairs, community events, and marketing activations.
  • Coordinate participant registrations and event logistics.
  • Liaise with venue management, vendors, suppliers, schools, shopping malls, and event partners.
  • Support event setup, execution, crowd engagement, and post-event activities.
  • Prepare event reports and project updates.

Administrative Support

  • Prepare meeting minutes and follow-up action lists.
  • Organise and maintain digital and physical filing systems.
  • Assist with purchase requisitions, quotations, and vendor documentation.
  • Support departmental administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in:

  • Mass Communication

  • Event Management
  • Or related disciplines

Skills

  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and digital communication tools.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with good follow-through.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with parents, franchisees, sponsors, schools, and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Confident in speaking with external partners and managing enquiries.
