Responsibilities
• Assist in the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform manual and automated testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Work closely with developers and product managers to understand features and develop comprehensive test scenarios.
• Conduct regression, functional, integration, and performance testing to ensure software meets quality standards.
• Participate in test case reviews and provide feedback on potential test improvements.
• Help automate repetitive testing tasks where possible, using tools like Selenium, Postman, or other test automation frameworks.
• Report test results and status updates to team members and management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies (e.g., manual testing, functional testing, regression testing).
• Knowledge of basic programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla).
• Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web application workflows.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong desire to learn and grow in the field of software testing
