What You Can Expect

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the reconciliation of inventory on Long Term Consignment (LTC) on all Customers and inventory held at Third Party Locations.

This role involves analyzing stock take results, investigating stock movements, and adjusting consignment inventory records accordingly. Additionally, the role is responsible for generating replacement orders for expiring inventory and reporting to key stakeholders on soon to expire stock at Customer Accounts.

Critical to the role will be developing a partnership with Sales, Supply Chain Planning, Customer Support, Warehouse operations, Finance, Legal and Regulatory to maintain the integrity of Zimmer Biomet Australia's inventory.

How You'll Create Impact

Stock Take Support and Reconcilement

  • Assist the Inventory Manager to complete annual reconciliations for LTC locations & 3rd partyheld inventory, achieving inventory accuracy target of 98%.
  • Follow up and resolve variances resulting from LTC stock takes with sales team.
  • Assist the Inventory Manager to create scheduling for LTC Locations annual stock takes anddistributes to sales team.
  • Liaise with the Inventory Manager and Sales Management to ensure process adherence andinventory integrity.

Consignment Expiry Stock

  • Create LTC replacement orders for expiring inventory
  • Coordinate the delivery of replacement stock to hospitals on a timely basis,
  • Report on soon to expire inventory and follow up back-ordered items with inventory plannerswhen there is a supply constraint.

Other Departmental Support

  • Provide backup/leave support within the department.
  • Help to manage LTC agreements with Zimmer Biomet Customers
  • Sustain Continuous Improvement (CI) of Logistics Operations
  • Engage in and support projects to drive sustained continuous improvement of the LTC,Inventory Control and stocktaking programs.
  • Establish and maintain a Lean 5S Culture with LTC Management functions

OH&S

  • Participate in company OH&S practices and actively seek to eliminate hazards in the workplace.

Reporting

  • Expiry Reports (Sales & Finance)
  • Monthly Inventory Accuracy Internal Reports

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Demonstrated ability to learn functional/technical skills and behavioral competencies.
  • Ability to analyze inventory data, interpret trends and implications and develop and utilize inventory modelling techniques to optimize inventory levels.
  • Advanced MS Office (including Excel) skills.
  • Working additional hours as may be required to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Taking a hands on approach to this role, including supporting stocktaking activities may be required at times.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or other related fields.
  • Experience within medical devices industry is preferred.
  • Experience with one or more ERP systems is highly preferred.
