Reviva Transition Partners (Reviva) is an Abu Dhabi based emerging fund manager that is developing and raising a first-of-its-kind equity fund driving commercially viable decarbonization of coal plants through active ownership and strategic investment across emerging markets, with a focus on Asia. Reviva will deliver value, build on international best practices and draw from world-class expertise and partnerships.
Our vision is to become the trusted partner to transition 10 GW of coal-fired power assets by 2040, saving over half a billion tons of CO2. Reviva's co-founders bring over forty years of extensive experience in power investment, asset management and coal transition advisory.
Role Description
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Origination & Market Engagement:
- Support APAC origination by mapping priority markets, asset owners and transition opportunities.
- Track commercial, and regulatory factors affecting thermal asset viability and transition potential.
- Build and maintain relationships with utilities, IPPs, banks, Advisors, and government linked entities to source proprietary or early-stage opportunities.
- Track emerging business models and climate finance mechanisms relevant to the coal-to-clean transition.
Transaction Execution and Financial Analysis:
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess decarbonization potential and value creation.
- Prepare investment notes, teasers, and IC materials for pipeline and live opportunities.
- Support senior members on transaction structuring and deal negotiations.
- Coordinate and lead DD across technical, legal, ESG, regulatory and market workstreams ensuring outputs are integrated into a coherent investment case.
- Support senior team members to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all deal origination activities, including contact reports and deal summaries.
- Contribute to the design of coal transition strategies and develop playbook of asset-level value creation at project level.
Partnerships and Corporate Development:
- Support the development of strategic partnerships across the ecosystem and represent Reviva at industry conferences and networking events.
- Prepare high-quality materials and briefing notes for external meetings, senior leadership engagements, and thought leadership pieces.
- Contribute to refining Reviva's investment model including risk frameworks, impact methodologies and market entry strategies.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field from a Tier 1 institution.
- Post Graduate qualifications / certifications will be looked upon positively (MBA, CFA etc.)
- 3 – 5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or project finance or a development finance institution.
- Preference for candidate to have strong exposure and experience working on energy transactions in APAC, particularly SEA
- Deep curiosity about global energy markets and emerging decarbonization pathways.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving structures and investment approaches.
- Strong expertise in Financial Modeling and Finance fundamentals
- Proven Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Experience conducting Due Diligence and managing investment processes
- Knowledge of Investments and sustainable energy transition ecosystems is a plus
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with globally distributed teams
Compensation and Location
1. Compensation: Competitive for Indonesia / Malaysia geographies.
2. Location: Initially Remote, with a planned transition to an ontheground location aligned with where the broader team is ultimately based.
