SK Malaysia is the regional headquarters of SK Group based in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate would need to assist the management in the process of generating new business leads and expanding the group's new/ existing businesses in South East Asia as well as evaluate opportunities for the Group.
SK Malaysia focuses on several sectors including but not limited to: Artificial Intelligence (Infrastructure & Solutions), Clean Energy & Battery Energy Storage Solutions and Waste Management & Resource Recycling. A candidate who has relevant experience, analytical capabilities and wide network to explore into the core industries would be ideal for the position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth industry study, developing business analytics strategies, communicating and negotiating with potential business partners in various business areas.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist management to identify new growth opportunities and target companies across targeted industries.
- Assist management in managing and monitoring existing investments made by the group
- Perform the initial stage of feasibility study of target industries and companies: Industry dynamics, target screening, valuation, financial forecast.
- Work effectively with Team Leaders and Managers and conduct regular business reporting on key business areas and potential opportunities.
- Prepare reports and presentation materials for internal and external audiences.
- Perform analysis and carryout updates on latest industry trends and country news.
- Engage third parties and potential business partners to build network for deal generations.
SKILLS
- Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate quantitative and qualitative information sources.
- Ability to understand and analyze industry trends.
- Possess ability to prepare reports and presentation materials.
- Familiar with the usage of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Good command in written and spoken English.
- Strong drive with high desire to learn about new sectors and transactions.

EXPERIENCES
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in Research, New Business Development or M&A activities.
- Candidates with working experience in investment holding companies, private equity firms, consulting firms and investment banks are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in prospecting and developing new business and/or successfully completing transactions from start to end.
- Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), e-Mobility (Car sharing, EV Battery, EV Charging), Healthcare and Waste Management & Resource Recycling will be advantageous.
EDUCATION
- University or Bachelor's degree
- Advanced degree, MBA and/or other relevant professional certification are an added advantage.
