Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT Application Project Manager to lead and manage technology and application projects within the banking and financial services environment. The role will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, stakeholder management, risk management, testing, implementation, and post-production support.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing banking applications, digital banking platforms, payment systems, core banking solutions, regulatory projects, or other financial technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end delivery of IT application projects from initiation through implementation and post-production support.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resources, and delivery timelines.
Work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and third-party partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Gather and translate business requirements into technical and application deliverables.
Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, Solution Architects, Infrastructure, Security, QA, and Operations teams.
Manage System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, performance testing, and defect resolution.
Monitor project progress, identify issues and dependencies, and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
Manage project risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
Coordinate application releases, deployment activities, production implementation, and post-implementation support.
Ensure applications comply with the bank's IT governance, security, risk, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare project status reports, dashboards, management presentations, and steering committee updates.
Manage vendors and third-party technology providers, including deliverables, timelines, service levels, and project issues.
Facilitate project meetings, workshops, requirement discussions, technical discussions, and stakeholder reviews.
Ensure project documentation is properly maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Support continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives within the banking environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business IT, or a related discipline.
Typically 5+ years of IT project management experience, with relevant experience in banking or financial services.
Strong experience in application development and implementation projects.
Good understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
Experience managing SIT, UAT, deployment, release, and production implementation.
Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
Good understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, APIs, databases, and system integration.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
Experience working in a highly regulated banking environment is preferred.
