About the job IT Consultant (ABAP)

Key Responsibilities
- To be part of in-house SAP ABAP team to effectively support business requirements and operations of the group companies in support and project environment.
- Responsible for the design, development, testing and support of ABAP to meet the business needs of F&N group of companies; including end-to-end project implementation and day-to-day operational support
- Work closely with SAP Functional Specialists/Consultants to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionality.
- Involved in technical analysis, designing, reviews, testing an implementation of SAP ABAP developments, ranging from small enhancements to large projects
- Provide value added solutions that meet business demands and increase productivity and outstanding quality standards.
- Keep abreast with technological advancements and developments, and industrys best practices as potential and improved solutions for the groups business requirements.
- Ensure adherence to IT standards, policies, guidelines and procedures in the execution of duties.
Accountabilities
Application Support
- Provide timely and effective support and resolution towards the delivery of SAP Services (ie Incident, Change Request).
- Support business implementations by sharing best practice development skills.
- Ability to help resolve complex technical issues and independently manage critical/complex situations.
- Ability to co-ordinate and interact with multiple teams.
- Ability to write and validate the technical specification.
- Work with SAP to resolve software bugs.
Project Execution
- Ensure that the assigned project deliverables are carried out on time.
- May lead and coordinate the work of a small development team.
- Perform code review and single point of contact for ABAP developments or projects under his/her charge.
IT Governance
- Adhere with IT standards, achieve high compliance level and ensure SAP Core Template of the organization is governed and optimized for its maximum advantage.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, any discipline or equivalent.
- SAP ABAP Certification will be added advantage.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in technical ABAP under core Financials, CO and Logistics (SD, MM, PP) modules.
- Exposure to WMS and new dimension product/technology is an added advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing industry particularly in Fast Moving Consumer Products (FMCG) will be an added advantage.
- Have strong hands-on knowledge in the areas of ALV Reporting, Enhancements, Dialog Programming, BAPI, RFC, SAP Scripts/Smartforms, ALE/IDocs, Interface Programming, BDC, Web Services (SOAP, REST/OData) and Data Conversions.
- Exposure to ITSmobile, cloud integration(CPI-DS) and mobile development will be an added advantage.
- Sound fundamental knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle).
- Hands on experience in S/4HANA platform and Webdynpro is an added value
