IT Engineer About the Team

We're looking for a new colleague to join ZF IT WIO Delivery & Support team, supporting the Aftermarket Division across Asia (excluding China and India), based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The team is responsible for ensuring stable and secure IT infrastructure operations across plants and warehouses, while also enabling digital transformation initiatives. You will work closely with regional and local IT teams as well as business stakeholders to support daily operations and implement IT solutions. This role plays a key part in bridging global IT standards with local business needs.

 

What you can look forward to as IT Infrastructure Engineer:

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, storage, backup, and data center operations at Johor Bahru plant and PTP Warehouse
• Provide support for local network and Wi-Fi infrastructure, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
• Ensure implementation of IT security standards, system patching, monitoring, and issue remediation
• Support workplace IT services, including end-user devices, printing, telephony, and conference room technologies
• Act as a Digital Advisor to promote and implement IT solutions that support business digitalization and production efficiency
• Coordinate and support global and local IT projects, system rollouts, and process improvements
• Engage in audits (e.g. TISAX, ISO, ITAF) and ensure compliance with corporate IT and security requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Asia to provide IT support and knowledge sharing

 

Your Profile as IT Infrastructure Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure or related roles, preferably in the automotive industry
• Strong technical knowledge in areas such as servers, networks, data center operations, and end-user computing
• Familiarity with IT standards, audits, and frameworks such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is an advantage
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive working attitude
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate projects, and deliver results within deadlines
• Experience working in an international and cross-functional environment is preferred
