About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on IT Executive based in Kuala Lumpur to support day-to-day IT operations and IT security administration across Beyondsoft Southeast Asia entities.
The role will support users, IT infrastructure, devices, user access, IT assets, security documentation, and compliance-related activities while coordinating with regional stakeholders, China IT teams, local business teams, and external service providers.
The successful candidate should have a good foundation in IT operations and infrastructure support, be comfortable troubleshooting day-to-day IT issues, and be able to maintain accurate IT documentation and follow through on operational and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & User Support
- Provide day-to-day IT support to employees across Southeast Asia offices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, connectivity, and endpoint-related issues.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, China IT, and external vendors for issues requiring further technical support.
- Support office IT infrastructure including laptops, desktops, printers, network devices, meeting-room equipment, and other IT systems.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support laptops, software applications, and endpoint devices.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities including device preparation, account setup, access provisioning, and access removal.
IT Asset & Access Management
- Maintain accurate records of laptops, devices, software licenses, and other IT assets.
- Coordinate IT asset issuance, return, replacement, inventory checks, and disposal activities.
- Support user account creation, access permissions, password-related issues, and system access administration.
- Conduct periodic checks of user access and IT asset records.
- Ensure IT equipment and access arrangements follow internal company policies and procedures.
Information Security Support
- Support implementation of company IT security policies and operational controls.
- Assist with endpoint security, antivirus, security patches, account security, and related administration.
- Identify and escalate potential IT security incidents or vulnerabilities to the appropriate IT or security teams.
- Support follow-up and documentation of security-related incidents and corrective actions.
- Assist in promoting good IT security, cybersecurity, and data protection practices among employees.
IT Governance, Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain IT-related SOPs, policies, inventories, system records, and operational documentation.
- Assist with preparation of documentation required for internal audits, external audits, ISO certification, or other compliance reviews.
- Support collection and coordination of IT/security documentation required for client assessments, tenders, bids, or qualification exercises.
- Track IT compliance action items and follow up with relevant stakeholders where required.
- Support periodic reviews of IT operational processes to ensure alignment with company standards.
Regional Coordination & Vendor Support
- Coordinate with regional offices, China IT teams, HR, Finance, Administration, and business stakeholders on IT-related matters.
- Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers for equipment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support.
- Support office setup, relocation, infrastructure upgrades, hardware refreshes, and IT implementation activities.
- Track outstanding IT issues and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Provide regular updates on IT operational issues, support activities, and ongoing tasks.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT support, IT operations, infrastructure support, system administration, or a similar role.
- Good hands-on knowledge of Windows operating systems, laptops, desktops, office IT equipment, and common business applications.
- Good understanding of basic networking concepts including LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, VPN, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with user account administration, access management, endpoint support, and IT asset management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, or similar enterprise IT environments is preferred.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity, endpoint protection, access controls, patch management, and IT security practices.
- Exposure to ISO, IT audit, compliance documentation, or IT governance activities would be an advantage.
- Good troubleshooting, documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently on day-to-day IT matters while escalating complex issues appropriately.
- Comfortable working with regional and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Good command of English.
- Mandarin communication ability is an added advantage due to coordination with China IT teams.
