About the Job

We are seeking an experienced IT Finance Manager to join our IT Finance and Vendor Management team, based in Malaysia, that is detail-oriented and has a strong sense of financial control and risk management. Reporting to the IT Finance Lead, this role is responsible for managing and overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting and control related to IT operations and projects. This role acts as the financial liaison between IT and Group Finance, to ensure compliance with corporate finance policies and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost controls for Group IT expenditures and projects
  • Collaborate with internal Group IT stakeholders and Group Finance, to review and update IT finance policies, guidelines, and documentation to ensure compliance with Group-wide standards
  • Perform financial analysis and provide insight on IT projects, and operational expenses to Group IT management team
  • Support Group and local entity finance teams in accounting processes related to IT spend and cost allocation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor IT costs, track budgets, and prepare report for management to support business decisions
  • Partner with the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement teams to optimize vendor contracts and licensing costs
  • Facilitate internal and external audit processes related to IT financial data
  • Drive finance transformation projects to optimize IT operations and/or finance processes
  • Provide guidance and training to internal Group IT stakeholders on financial policies and controls

We are looking for people who

  • Possesses Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance management within insurance of financial services, with a focus on IT finance preferred
  • Strong understanding of IT cost structures, software licensing, and project financial management
  • Proficient in financial systems such as Oracle Fusion, as well as Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong team player with attention to detail, resilience under pressure and an adaptable and resourceful mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
