Role Description:
This is a 1-Year Contract (renewable), on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate is a team player who will be responsible for working with company data in various business areas. Specific responsibilities include reporting metrics, analyzing methodologies, suggesting operation improvements, and building proposal evaluations in a cross-functional environment.
Scope of Work
1. Oversee the entire lifecycle of mobile app projects, from planning to deployment.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and budgets.
3. Ensure alignment of mobile app development with business objectives andITstrategies.
4. ManageITresources, including internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management:
- Assist Project Management Team to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- DevelopITproject plans and schedules.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or risks.
2. Team Coordination:
- Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA testers.
- Assign tasks and ensure timely completion.
3. Technical Oversight:
- Ensure the app meets technical requirements and quality standards.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate them when relevant.
4. Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status.
- Manage expectations and address feedback.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
6. Cloud Services Management
- Oversee the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Ensure cloud environments are scalable, cost-efficient, and aligned with business needs.
- Manage cloud security configurations, access controls, and identity management.
- Monitor cloud performance, availability, and usage to optimize resources and costs.
- Coordinate cloud migration activities and hybrid/on-prem integration where required.
7. Network & Connectivity Management
- Plan, implement, and maintain secure network architecture, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and internet connectivity.
- Ensure network reliability, performance, and high availability for mobile applications and backend systems.
- Work with vendors and ISPs to resolve network issues and upgrades.
- Implement network security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and traffic monitoring.
8. Server & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee physical and virtual servers, including provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
- Ensure server uptime, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Manage operating system updates, patching, and system hardening.
- Monitor server health and proactively address performance or security issues.
9. Application & IT Security
- Ensure application security best practices are applied throughout the development lifecycle.
- Implement secure coding standards and conduct security reviews and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage access control, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Coordinate penetration testing, incident response, and remediation activities.
- Educate teams on cybersecurity awareness and secure IT practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst, IT Lead, or similar role.
- Technical Proficiency: * Hands-on experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, and Load Balancing.
- Experience with Security Frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC2, or similar).
- Methodologies: Highly familiar with Agile, Waterfall, and ERP environments.
- Languages: Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Industry: Fintech or ERP experience is an added advantage.
