Job Description

Job Summary

The IT PMO supports the planning, governance, coordination, and monitoring of technology projects within the banking and financial services environment. The role works closely with Project Managers, technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and senior management to ensure projects are delivered according to scope, timeline, budget, risk, and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support IT project planning, tracking, governance, and reporting across banking technology projects.
  • Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, RAID logs, action items, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project scope, timeline, budget, resources, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly project status reports, dashboards, management reports, and presentation decks.
  • Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and track action items through to closure.
  • Work with Project Managers and stakeholders to identify and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Track project financials, including budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, invoices, and project expenditure where applicable.
  • Ensure project activities comply with banking IT governance, internal policies, procedures, and control requirements.
  • Coordinate across technology teams such as Application Development, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data, Network, QA/UAT, and Production Support.
  • Support UAT/SIT, implementation, release, migration, and deployment activities from a project governance perspective.
  • Manage project documentation, including business requirements, project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, change requests, and sign-offs.
  • Monitor project resource allocation and assist with capacity/resource planning.
  • Track vendor deliverables, SLA-related activities, and third-party dependencies.
  • Support change management and change request tracking, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
  • Prepare materials and reports for Steering Committee, Project Governance Committee, and senior management meetings.
  • Maintain project governance standards and ensure required approvals and documentation are completed.
  • Assist with project closure, lessons learned, financial reconciliation, and archival of project documentation.
Banking/Financial Services Exposure
