IT Project Coordinator cum PMO - Banking

Job Summary

The IT PMO will support the governance, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of technology projects and programs within a banking environment. The role works closely with IT Project Managers, business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and senior management to ensure projects are delivered according to approved scope, timeline, budget, quality, risk, and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning, governance, and monitoring of IT projects and programs across the bank.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs, and action trackers.
• Prepare weekly/monthly project status reports and management dashboards.
• Track project progress against approved scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables.
• Coordinate project governance meetings, including Steering Committee, Project Working Group, and PMO meetings.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, action items, and follow up on outstanding decisions.
• Monitor and escalate project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and changes.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with the bank's IT governance and project management standards.
• Track project financials, including CAPEX/OPEX, project expenditure, budget utilization, and vendor costs.
• Coordinate resource planning and monitor resource allocation across projects.
• Support change request management, ensuring changes are properly documented, assessed, approved, and tracked.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, business units, vendors, and third-party service providers.
• Monitor project deliverables and ensure documentation is completed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Assist Project Managers with project initiation, planning, execution, implementation, and project closure.
• Maintain portfolio-level reporting and provide management with visibility of project health and key delivery risks.
• Ensure projects comply with relevant banking policies, security requirements, audit requirements, risk controls, and regulatory/governance standards.
• Support project audits and provide required project documentation and evidence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Project Management or related field
• PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, Scrum/Agile or equivalent certification
• Banking / financial services experience
• Experience working in a regulated environment
• Knowledge of IT governance, ITIL, risk management or technology controls
