Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Provide PMO governance and coordination for IT projects and programmes within the banking/financial services environment.
Support Project Managers in managing project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables and dependencies.
Track project progress, identify delays and risks, and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders.
Prepare and maintain weekly/monthly project status reports, dashboards and management presentations.
Monitor project RAID logs covering Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies.
Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and track action items through to closure.
Support project budget, cost, resource and vendor tracking.
Monitor project scope, timelines, deliverables and change requests.
Consolidate project information from multiple workstreams and provide accurate reporting to senior management.
Ensure projects comply with the organization's IT governance, PMO methodology, policies and controls.
Support project documentation including project charters, plans, status reports, risk registers, issue logs, change requests and closure reports.
Coordinate across Business, IT, Infrastructure, Application, Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance and external vendors.
Assist with project audits, governance reviews and regulatory requirements relevant to the banking environment.
Track project KPIs and delivery metrics and highlight areas requiring management attention.
Support resource planning, capacity tracking and allocation across IT projects.
Facilitate project governance meetings and steering committee sessions.
Ensure timely follow-up and closure of outstanding project actions and decisions.
Support SIT, UAT, implementation and production deployment planning where required.
Assist Project Managers with project risk mitigation and issue resolution.
Maintain accurate project repositories and ensure documentation is updated throughout the project lifecycle.

Banking Domain Responsibilities

Support IT projects involving Core Banking, Digital Banking, Payments, Cards, Loans, Deposits, Treasury, AML/KYC, Risk, Compliance and Financial Systems.
Coordinate projects involving banking applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity and technology transformation.
Ensure project activities align with applicable Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulatory and technology-risk requirements.
Support governance and reporting for projects involving RMiT, cybersecurity, information security, data protection and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate multiple technology vendors and third-party service providers.
Monitor project dependencies across multiple banking systems and technology platforms.

Required Skills

Strong IT PMO / Project Management experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
Strong understanding of project governance and PMO processes.
Experience with project planning, reporting, RAID management and stakeholder coordination.
Strong analytical, documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience working with Business and IT stakeholders.
Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience with Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid project methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and project reporting tools.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Project or similar PMO tools is advantageous.
