Job Description:
1. Storage Management:
- Configure and manage NetApp storage solutions, including RAID arrays and Volumes (NFS/CIFS) in a NAS (Network Attached Storage) environment.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity to optimize resource allocation.
- Collaborate with NetApp and other relevant vendors to ensure efficient storage operations in a NAS-based infrastructure.
2. Virtualization:
- Deploy and manage VMware vSphere environments.
- Optimize virtualization performance, resource allocation, and high availability.
- Troubleshoot VMware-related issues and ensure seamless virtual machine (VM) operations.
3. Server Hardware:
- Administer server hardware, including installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with hardware vendors to ensure reliable server performance.
- Implement security measures to protect server infrastructure.
4. Backup Solutions:
- Design and implement backup strategies for critical systems.
- Monitor backup processes and troubleshoot any issues to ensure data availability and integrity.
- Collaborate with backup vendors and maintain backup infrastructure using Commvault as the primary backup tool.
- Knowledge of Commvault backup and recovery solutions will be considered an advantage.
5. Linux Systems Administration:
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise Linux environments (e.g., RHEL, CentOS).
- Perform system updates, patch management, and performance tuning on Linux servers.
- Ensure secure and stable Linux systems operation in production environments.
6. OpenShift and Container Platforms:
- Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications using OpenShift (or similar Kubernetes-based platforms).
- Support CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration for scalable application deployment.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure robust container infrastructure and automation.
7. Other Systems:
- Maintain and support other IT systems (e.g., networking, security, databases).
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall system reliability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, including storage, virtualization, and server hardware.
- Proficiency in NetApp storage management and VMware vSphere administration.
- Hands-on experience with Linux system administration (preferably RHEL-based distributions).
- Experience managing and supporting OpenShift or other Kubernetes-based container platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- ITIL knowledge such as IT Service Management, Project Management, Demand Management, Incident Management.
- Knowledge in cloud computing, orchestration, and automation scripts (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
