Position is based in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur and reports to the IT Operations & Service Manager APAC.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Desk Support (70%)

Act as the first point of contact for IT-related queries from users across the APAC region, providing swift resolution where possible and escalating complex issues to the appropriate teams. Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction through efficient issue resolution and request fulfillment.
Efficiently manage and fulfill user requests for service changes, access to resources, or new equipment, ensuring compliance with SLAs and user satisfaction.
Plan and execute maintenance tasks, such as system upgrades, with minimal disruption to business operations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and enhanced security
Work closely with IT teams and business units to align IT services with business needs. Provide training and guidance to users and colleagues on new systems, features, and best practices

System Administration (30%)

Implement, manage, and maintain IT infrastructure services, including both network components (such as switches and routers) and cloud systems such as Microsoft 365 and Azure
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Document resolutions in a knowledge base to improve the efficiency of future troubleshooting and problem-solving
Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security
Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and service records. Provide reports on incidents, upgrades, and system status to stakeholders
Participate in a rotation for a 24/7 global incident hotline (Follow the sun), providing emergency support and rapid response to critical incidents.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree in IT or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Business English proficiency at B2/L1 Level. Fluency in Mandarin for communication is advantageous
8-10 years minimum experience in IT Service Desk Tier 1 and 2 Support, incident management, and project prioritization.
5 years minimum experience in system administration, networking, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Cloud platforms, Cybersecurity, and Server management:
Manage and maintain our organizations IT infrastructure (Servers, VMs, Networks, Software system, etc)
Ensure network stability, performance, and security across the organization
Microsoft Active Directory (On-Premise and Azure)
Microsoft 365 Administration (Application, Exchange Online, SharePoint, etc)
Microsoft Intune (MDM, MAM)
Cloud computing platforms such as Azure and Microsoft 365
Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security
Participation in the design and implementation of complex server setups/structures
Configuring and maintaining IP Networking (switching, routing, DHCP, VLANS, Wi-Fi, Firewalls, etc.)

Other preferred skills and experience:

Aruba Networking, HP Servers, Linux, Windows Server, Citrix
Cyber / Information Security (access control, identity management, endpoint protection, data encryption, incident response, SIEM, etc.)
Cloud computing platforms such as Azure, Entra AD
Scripting/automation such as PowerShell
System monitoring and tools
Familiarity and knowledge of ITIL standard methodologies
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, ITIL, CompTIA Security+) are a plus
