Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site IT Software Engineer position located in Banting. The IT Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain software systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Day-to-day tasks include programming, managing databases, and implementing technical solutions to support business needs. Strong collaboration and communication skills, particularly in both Mandarin and English, are required to work effectively with international teams and clientele.
Qualifications
- Implement, configure, maintain, and support the MES system to meet production requirements.
- Ensure MES fully supports production tracking, work orders, WIP, material traceability, quality control, and performance monitoring.
- Monitor MES performance and resolve system issues promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Manage MES user access, roles, permissions, and system security.
- Integrate MES with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, AutoCount), PLC/SCADA, barcode/RFID systems, and shop-floor equipment.
- Ensure smooth data flow between MES, ERP, Quality, Inventory, and Maintenance systems.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to ensure accurate machine data capture.
- Develop and customize MES modules, reports, dashboards, and workflows based on production needs.
- Perform system enhancements, upgrades, patches, and version control.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and SOPs.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of real-time production data.
- Generate MES reports such as OEE, yield, downtime, scrap rate, production efficiency, and traceability reports.
- Support data analysis for continuous improvement and management decision-making.
Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of MES systems (mandatory).
- Experience with manufacturing environments (discrete or process manufacturing).
- Knowledge of SQL databases, data structures, and system integration.
- Understanding of ERPMES integration.
