IT System Engineer (Chinese speaking, 5-7 yrs)

Key Responsibilities-

Systems & Applications Support:

• Manage multiple internal payroll systems in Malaysia, China and other countries
• Manage payroll applications lifecycle, eg. payroll vendor management, installation, ongoing maintanance/monitoring/troubleshooting, and de‑installation
• Configure and maintain databases and system for regional payroll users across 14 APAC countries
• Provide application support and troubleshooting assistance to payroll teams

Tier 2 IT Infrastructure Operations:

• Monitor performance and health of servers, network devices, storage, and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and problems within SLA
• Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and optimization

Other General IT Support:

• Cover/ backup other IT Team Members day-to-day operations
• Include but not limited to Tier 1 user support, Tier 2 network maintenance, etc.
• Ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by IT Manager

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Tier 2 IT operations and system database maintenance
• Experience in software system implementation and software vendor management
• Familiar with IT infrastructure technical skills:
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper V
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routing & switching
• Cloud platforms: Azure/AWS/GCP
• Backup systems, monitoring tools, and storage technologies
• Fluent in spoken Mandarin and English
