JAPANESE SPEAKING TECHNICAL TRANSLATOR (with an established Japanese company)

Company Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Japanese Speaking Technical Translator to support communication and technical coordination between Japanese and local teams within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating technical documents, interpreting during meetings, and facilitating effective communication for engineering-related projects. Working location is in Pasir Gudang, Johor

Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical, engineering, production, quality, and operational documents between Japanese and English.
• Provide interpretation support during meetings, discussions, training sessions, audits, and business visits.
• Act as a communication bridge between Japanese expatriates and local employees.
• Support engineering teams in preparing reports, presentations, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Assist in coordinating engineering projects and ensuring accurate communication of technical requirements.
• Translate emails, manuals, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other business documents.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling technical information.
• Perform other duties assigned by management from time to time.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, Manufacturing, or related disciplines)
• 1 to 3 years of working experience preferably in manufacturing industry.
• Japanese language proficiency of JLPT N2 or above.
• Able to understand and translate technical and engineering terminology.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fresh graduates with strong Japanese language skills and relevant internship exposure may be considered.
