Job Summary
We are looking for a Java Full-stack Engineer based in Singapore to develop, maintain and support enterprise applications in a highly regulated environment.
The role requires strong Java backend skills, working knowledge of React, hands-on deployment experience, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues and participate in technical discussions with clients.

The role requires strong Java backend skills, working knowledge of React, hands-on deployment experience, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues and participate in technical discussions with clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and troubleshoot database queries and integrations to support application functionality and performance.
- Maintain and enhance React components, including integration with backend APIs.
- Support application deployment and troubleshooting using GitLab CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Configure, integrate and troubleshoot API gateways and reverse proxies.
- Investigate production issues, analyse application logs, identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Remediate vulnerabilities in application code and dependencies, and verify that the implemented fixes resolve the identified issues.
- Participate in and, where required, lead technical discussions with clients to clarify requirements, explain issues and recommend solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot and RESTful API development.
- Solid database and SQL experience, including data integration and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of React and frontend integration with backend services.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with API gateway and reverse proxy technologies, such as Nginx.
- Ability to support production issues through log investigation, debugging and root cause analysis.
- Experience with application and dependency vulnerability remediation.
- Good spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and explain technical concepts effectively.
- Hands-on experience with Axway API Gateway or similar enterprise API management platforms.
- Experience supporting Singapore government or public-sector projects, or other highly regulated environments.
- Exposure to Government Commercial Cloud (GCC), Government Data Centre (GDC) and/or OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments is a strong advantage.
