Job Description
Job Title: Senior Java Developer – Microservices | Kafka | Azure
Experience: 6 to 12 Years
Job Type: Contract (Work from Office)
Location: Pan India (Multiple Cities)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with deep expertise in Microservices architecture, Apache Kafka, and Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 12 years of backend development experience and will be responsible for building scalable, cloud-native, event-driven applications. This is a contractual position requiring candidates to work from office at any of our pan-India locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust, scalable Java-based microservices.
- Integrate and manage Apache Kafka for real-time messaging and event streaming.
- Deploy and manage services on Azure Cloud, using Azure-native services (App Services, AKS, Functions, etc.).
- Collaborate with solution architects and DevOps teams on cloud infrastructure and microservices design.
- Write clean, maintainable code and ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.
- Debug production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
- Proven experience designing and building Microservices.
- Deep knowledge of Apache Kafka – producers, consumers, stream processing.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure – services like Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Cosmos DB, etc.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, OAuth2/JWT, and API gateways.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, Git, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, or Kafka Streams.
- Familiarity with observability tools – Prometheus, ELK, App Insights, etc.
- Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
