Summary
The Junior Accountant reports directly to the Assistant Director of Finance and plays a key role in supporting all hotel accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general cashier, income audit, and financial reporting.
Main Responsibilities: -
- Maintain accurate financial records and post journal entries.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
- Support income audit and cost audit functions, and assist with inventory spot checks.
- Contribute to monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytical reviews of significant account balances.
- Assist in preparation of month-end closing procedures and reports.
- Review expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies
- Handle inquiries from guests, clients, vendors, and external auditors.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by superiors.
Qualifications
- Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open for Malaysian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Malaysia
- 1-2 years of accounting experience, hotel accounting preferred
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, agile with change.
