Junior Android Developer

We are looking for a Junior Android Developer to support the development and enhancement of digital retail banking applications. The role involves building reliable and secure Android applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java
• Assist in implementing new features and improving existing mobile banking apps
• Work closely with senior developers, QA, and backend teams
• Perform unit testing and support application debugging
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives
• Follow secure coding and mobile development best practices

Required Skills:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with Android development using Kotlin and Java
• Understanding of Android SDK, UI components, and app lifecycle
• Basic knowledge of Oracle databases
• Familiarity with Unix-based operating systems (HPUX, Linux, Solaris)
• Willingness to learn and work in a Digital Banking environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with build and dependency tools such as Gradle and Maven
• Exposure to Firebase and Fastlane
• Knowledge of CI/CD for mobile build and deployment
• Understanding of DevOps concepts and Agile practices
• Prior exposure to Digital Banking platforms
