Job Summary:

The Junior Backend Developer – Digital Banking will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of backend services and APIs within the Retail Banking domain. The role requires strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle database, along with a good understanding of digital banking processes and integration with enterprise systems.

The candidate will collaborate closely with frontend developers, QA teams, and business analysts to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performing backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend components, APIs, and services for digital banking applications.
• Implement business logic using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and SQL.
• Design and optimize data access with Oracle databases.
• Participate in application integration using XML and web services (SOAP/REST).
• Assist in performance tuning, debugging, and issue resolution in production and test environments.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, DevOps automation, and system monitoring.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for development and deployment processes.

• Hands-on experience in backend development within banking or financial services domains.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile practices.
