Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Procurement team in Malaysia and support efficient procurement, supply continuity, cost optimization, and delivery performance for semiconductor manufacturing programs. In this role, you will manage procurement programs, resolve material and supplier issues, and drive initiatives that improve efficiency and profitability. Responsibilities

  • Execute supply chain programs to support on-time delivery, reduce supply risks, control costs, and optimize cash flow.
  • Attend production meetings and communicate material shortages, risks, and supply issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for planning errors, demand changes, ECO implementation, and supplier-related constraints.
  • Manage DDMRP programs, including Kanban and safety stock replenishment, to maintain appropriate inventory levels and supply continuity.
  • Maintain accurate ERP system data, supplier forecasts, contractual requirements, and replenishment quantities.
  • Coordinate with planning teams and project managers to align external processing and supplier schedules.
  • Analyze product value chains to identify value-added activities and opportunities to improve overall efficiency.
  • Build effective relationships with suppliers and understand their business, manufacturing processes, technologies, and product capabilities.
  • Communicate supply issues, requirements, and escalations clearly to suppliers, internal stakeholders, management, and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to more than one operational discipline.
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP and PLM systems; Oracle, SAP, and Agile experience is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and manage supply chain data.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing, supplier selection, cost analysis, negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Ability to understand supplier manufacturing processes, technologies, and product families.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, hands-on, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
