Job Description
Role Title: KYC Specialist
Role Summary
The KYC Specialist is responsible for conducting end-to-end KYC reviews for SME and Corporate Banking clients, including onboarding, periodic reviews, enhanced due diligence (EDD), and event-driven reviews.
The role involves reviewing customer information and documentation, assessing AML/KYC risks, engaging customers to obtain required information, and working with internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
Primary Responsibilities
The hours of operation will be 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Bank holiday will follow Singapore public holidays calendar. There may be shift and overtime required for weekends or national holidays according to business requirement. Both parties need to align and mutually agree on such changes and plan in advance. Overtime rates if any be charged only when productivity targets are met, and also when the personnel gaps in the team (if any) are duly filled.

Primary Responsibilities
- Review KYC information and documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct KYC/CDD and EDD reviews, including background checks, customer interviews, business assessments, and AML risk profiling.
- Perform periodic and event-driven reviews of customer profiles.
- Engage customers to obtain required KYC information and supporting documents, and address related queries or clarifications.
- Support AML activities, including screening reviews and transaction monitoring investigations, and obtain additional customer information where required.
- Assess customer responses, identify information gaps, and follow up where necessary.
- Collaborate with Compliance, AML, Operations, and other stakeholders to resolve KYC-related issues and escalations.
- Support process improvements, UAT, MI/reporting, training activities, and ad-hoc projects.
- Minimum 2 years of KYC Operations experience supporting SME and/or Corporate Banking clients, including UBO identification and ownership structure drill-down.
- Good knowledge of Singapore AML/CFT regulations and guidelines.
- Hands-on experience in KYC/CDD, EDD, periodic reviews, and customer risk assessment.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken, written, and reading) to support Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer service skills.
- Able to organize and prioritize workload and deliver within deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Collaborative, accountable, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills.
- Client-facing experience preferred; AML/KYC certification is an advantage.
- Candidates with a short notice period or immediate availability are preferred.
