Junior Developer (Cloudera Hadoop)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines across GDW platforms.
• Support and manage data processing in Cloudera Hadoop (6.x), Teradata Intelliflex, and AS400 environments.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading using Informatica BDM, IDQ, and IDL tools.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries across AS400 DB2, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Support big data processing using Spark, Hive, Impala, Kafka, and HUE.
• Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams using MS BI, Power BI, Qlik Sense, SAS, and Microsoft R.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide timely resolution for production issues.
• Participate in release management and deployment activities using Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, and Control-M.
• Prepare technical documentation and maintain data lineage and governance standards.
• Support data quality validation using QuerySurge and Informatica IDQ.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization.

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in data warehouse development and production support.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudera Hadoop distribution (6.x).
• Experience with Teradata (TD Studio, IFX, MDM, FSLDM/GCFR, Viewpoint).
• Strong SQL development experience across multiple databases (AS400 DB2, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Informatica Data Integration suite (BDM, IDQ, IDL).
• Exposure to Spark, Hive, Impala, Kafka, and Cloudera Data Science Workbench.
• Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Qlik Sense, Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects, and SAS.
• Experience with DevOps and deployment tools including Jenkins, Bitbucket, and SonarQube.
• Experience working in AS400, AIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support capabilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience leading production support teams.
• Knowledge of Experian PowerCurve.
• Familiarity with Aldon and Control-M job scheduling tools.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and enterprise data models.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
