Junior Java Developer

About the Role

Accenture is seeking a Junior Java Developer to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise applications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for technology professionals with 1-3 years of experience to enhance their software engineering skills while working alongside experienced developers and cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will contribute to delivering scalable, high-quality solutions that drive business outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and support digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services according to business and technical requirements.

• Collaborate with senior developers, business analysts, quality engineering teams, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Participate in application design discussions and contribute to technical solutions and code reviews.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

• Develop and execute unit tests to maintain code quality and application stability.

• Support application deployment, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance activities.

• Follow established coding standards, security guidelines, and software development best practices.

• Create and maintain technical documentation related to application development and support activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in Java application development.

• Hands-on experience with Core Java, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and software development principles.

• Experience working with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, or similar Java frameworks.

• Basic understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web services, and application integration concepts.

• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps concepts.

• Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

• Relevant Java or cloud certifications.
