Role Overview:
The Junior/Mid Business Analyst will serve as the critical link between business stakeholders and our technical execution teams, particularly within high-compliance government project environments. As the primary language of our global team is English, near-native verbal and written English proficiency is mandatory. You will be responsible for the entire requirements lifecycle from initial elicitation and As-Is analysis to UAT governance and formal sign-off. The ideal candidate is a documentation expert who thrives in structured processes and maintains a rigorous focus on traceability and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Global Team Collaboration
- English Proficiency: Act as the primary communicator between local stakeholders and the English-speaking technical team in India.
- Clear Documentation: Ensure all technical specifications and requirements are written in clear, concise, and unambiguous English to avoid development errors.
- Facilitation: Lead meetings and workshops entirely in English, ensuring all parties have a shared understanding of project goals.
2. Requirements Management & Documentation
- Elicitation: Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to uncover deep-seated business needs.
- Core Documentation: Author and maintain high-quality BRDs, FRSs, and SRSs.
- Backlog Management: Translate requirements into User Stories with clear, testable Acceptance Criteria.
- Traceability: Maintain the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure every business need is accounted for in development and testing.
3. Process Modeling & Analysis
- Modeling: Create detailed BPMN process flows, Use Case Models, and Workflow Maps.
- Analysis: Perform an As-Is vs. To-Be analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
- Data Flow: Design Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) to verify data integrity across system interfaces.
4. Government Project Governance
- Change Control: Manage the Change Request process, including performing Impact Assessments on project scope and timelines.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure all project artifacts meet government audit standards and follow strict Version Control procedures.
- Sign-off Management: Navigate formal approval workflows to secure stakeholder buy-in at every project milestone.
5. Testing & Quality Assurance (UAT)
- UAT Governance: Develop the UAT Plan and coordinate with business users to execute UAT Test Cases.
- Defect Management: Track issues through their lifecycle and manage the Risk & Issue Register.
- Validation: Finalize the UAT Sign-off process to ensure the solution is fit for purpose.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Language:Excellent command of the English language (Written & Verbal). Candidates must be comfortable conducting their daily technical work and meetings in English.
- Experience:2+ years as a Business Analyst
- Software: Mastery of Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, and Excel.
- Methodology: Proficiency in MoSCoW prioritization and Agile/Waterfall hybrid environments or Scrum
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in IT or a related field.
