Hiring: Business Project Manager (Non-Technical) Insurance Industry

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Contract: 1-Year (Extendable)

About the Role

We are hiring a Business Project Manager (Non-Technical) to support strategic and regulatory projects within the insurance industry (Life / Takaful / General Insurance). This role sits within a business-focused team and works closely with senior stakeholders across the organization.

This is NOT a Technical / IT Project Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements
• Manage and coordinate moderate to large-scale business projects across initiation, planning, implementation, and change management
• Build project plans, manage sprints, and oversee project costing, planning, and ROI
• Focus on newly initiated projects covering operations, claims, servicing, customer, transformation, and regulatory & risk projects
• Challenge business assumptions and collaborate with IT PMs and Tech Leads on solution delivery
• Prepare stakeholder communications, engagement materials, and presentations

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates will be rejected if these are not met

• Expert-level insurance business knowledge (Claims / Distribution / Operations / Servicing)
• Life or Takaful Insurance background preferred
• General Insurance background accepted
• 12 years hands-on experience as a Business Project Manager
• Experience in project planning, sprint preparation, project costing, and ROI
• Technical / IT Project Manager profiles are NOT suitable
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
