Job Description
Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Scheduler to support project planning and scheduling activities across all phases of data center construction.
The successful candidate will assist with schedule development, progress tracking, reporting, schedule updates, risk identification, and milestone monitoring to ensure projects remain aligned with agreed timelines and delivery objectives.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, Consultants, and other project stakeholders, under the guidance of Senior or Lead Schedulers, while progressively taking ownership of assigned scheduling activities and work packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out.
- Assist with defining activities, sequencing workflows, estimating durations, and identifying dependencies.
- Support the identification of critical paths, key milestones, and schedule interfaces.
- Update project schedules based on actual progress and information from project teams and contractors.
- Track schedule progress and prepare regular reports for review.
- Compare actual progress against planned timelines and highlight potential deviations.
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and constraints and escalate material issues.
- Support schedule impact assessments and basic what-if analysis.
- Assist with recovery schedules and mitigation actions when required.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to collect and validate scheduling information.
- Use scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), Microsoft Project, or equivalent systems.
- Maintain schedule baselines, historical data, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
- Support lessons-learned activities and continuous improvement of scheduling processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable project controls, governance, and business processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Planning / Project Controls or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in project scheduling, planning, or project controls.
- Working knowledge of scheduling concepts, including in activity sequencing, dependencies, milestones, baselines and critical path analysis
- Experience with Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Able to work accurately within established processes and under appropriate supervision.
