Junior QC Laboratory Executive

Kijani Asia is looking for a Junior QC Laboratory Executive to join our team at our production site in Kapar.

This is an opportunity for a fresh graduate, or a final-semester student seeking an internship, to build practical experience in quality control and laboratory operations. For the right person, the role offers the opportunity to grow into a permanent position with increasing responsibility across QC, and links to production and R&D.

You'll start by learning and supporting our day-to-day QC and laboratory activities, with training and guidance from the team. As your experience grows, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and gain exposure to quality control, production, R&D, product development and quality systems.

Responsibilities

Your initial responsibilities will focus on:

• Performing routine laboratory testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products
• Recording test results, maintaining laboratory documentation and assisting with the preparation of Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
• Managing laboratory chemical and consumables inventory and coordinating purchasing when required
• Supporting the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Following established SOPs, specifications, food safety requirements and laboratory procedures
• As you gain experience, you'll also have the opportunity to become involved in:
• Investigations into test results, quality issues and customer complaints
• Product trials and customer trial samples in collaboration with production and R&D
• Lab support to new product development, product improvement and scale-up to
• production
• HALAL, ISO and other quality-related activities and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or soon to receive) in Biotechnology, Food Technology,
• Food Science or a related field
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Final-semester students looking for an internship, with the potential to grow into a longer-term role, are also welcome to apply
• Basic understanding of laboratory testing, quality control, food safety and GMP/GLP practices
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures; knowledge of equipment calibration would be an advantage
• Careful and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow procedures accurately
• Fluent in English and Bahasa. Mandarin is a plus.
