Junior/Senior R&D Engineer
Salary Range: RM 3 6K (based on working experience & qualification)
Major Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct lab experiments for formulation, process improvement, material testing, and application validation.
- Research and review technical information to support new product development and innovation.
- Analyse test results, prepare technical reports, and present key findings to teams and management.
- Assist in creating technical documents such as TDS, SDS, and BOM.
- Work closely with manufacturing, QA, marketing, and sales to align R&D efforts with business and customer needs.
- Support scale-up and technology transfer from lab to production, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, site visits, and product qualification.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, technologies, and regulations.
- Ensure all R&D work follows quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer, Materials Science, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- 14 years of relevant experience in R&D, preferably within the adhesives, polymers, electronics, or chemical manufacturing industries.
- Practical experience with analytical and characterization techniques such as TMA, DMA, DSC, TGA, thermal conductivity, electrical resistivity, FTIR, as well as root cause analysis and experimental design, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is an added advantage, as the role may require communication with Mandarin-speaking customers, particularly from China.

- Working hours (day and time): 8.30am-5.30pm. Monday to Friday
- Allowances - Fix monthly allowance of travelling RM100 + meal RM 50 (upon confirmation)
- 1-month contractual bonus
