Key Account Manager (FMCG - CVS & Petrol Mart)

We are currently looking for a Key Account Manager for an innovative, fast-growing food brand to spearhead its retail expansion across Malaysia. This role is tasked with building the Convenience Store (CVS) and Petrol Mart channels from the ground up, driving brand presence, listing agreements, and strategic channel growth. It requires your urgent attention.

• Location: Puchong
• Pioneer a high-visibility channel expansion from scratch, taking complete ownership over new retail chain listings with direct C-suite mentorship and an accelerated fast-track to commercial leadership.
  
  

the role

• Build the Convenience Store (CVS) channel from ground zero, taking total business development ownership to prospect, pitch, and secure new brand listings.
• Target major CVS networks (e.g., 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, myNEWS, CU) as the primary focus, while expanding secondarily into national Petrol Mart accounts.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including listing fees, trading terms agreements (TTA), promotional funding, retail margins, and campaign mechanics.
• Manage account sell-in and sell-out performance, demand forecasting, planogram execution, and stock cover to prevent out-of-stock hotspots.
  
  

the experience

• Minimum 3 years of Key Account Management experience within the FMCG or Food industry.
• Direct channel expertise and established track record managing Convenience Stores (CVS) such as 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, myNEWS, or Petrol Mart accounts.
• Proven hunter capability with a track record of building retail channels, securing new account listings, and closing commercial terms from scratch.
• Strong mastery of modern trade listing processes, trade spend management, and commercial margin structures.
• Detail-oriented and strategic thinker with strong data analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills.
