The Key Account Manager (KAM) will play a crucial role in managing and strengthening relationships with key retail partners, driving business growth and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. This position is responsible for account planning, negotiation, in-store execution, pricing strategies, and overseeing the overall P&L for key accounts. The KAM will ensure that business objectives are met by delivering exceptional account management and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for delivering set target with proper planning, and ensuring all operational matters such as order facilitation, on-shelf availability, inventory management, in-store merchandising, and sales target of all designated key accounts are carried out. To develop business and sales plan, through comprehensive account and market knowledge.
- Manage key accounts by working with buyers, conducting campaigns, negotiating and executing merchandising excellence
- Conduct quarterly key account business review
- Provide quality input to marketing initiatives and assist in formulation of strategic sales opportunities.
- Develop excellent working relationships and in-depth understanding with the customers and market landscape.
- Responsible for the effective management of promotional spending, and overall profitability of each key customer
- Responsible and accountable for sales growth targets, profitability, managing market hygiene and total trade spend within allowable with the assigned key accounts.
- Responsible for key account receivables. Monitor Account Receivable ageing and coordinate with credit control and Accounts Receivable team.
- To be working with cross-functional colleagues to ensure excellence in-store execution.
- To compile and submit reports on key account activities in accordance to established formats and schedule.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Marketing, Business or any related field
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience in key account Management in FMCG industry
- Good command of English and able to communicate effectively with key accounts buyers
- Good leadership skills and teamwork
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be mature, passionate and able to work independently
- Must be able to multi-task and good in following through
