Job Summary
Key Account Manager manages a group of accounts to achieve designated sales target levels by developing profitable business plans, developing strong multi-functional relationships and the agreement of listings, space, promotions and conditions.
You will play an essential role to:
1) Strategic Business Relationships
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with assigned major accounts to drive brand awareness and secure profitable business.
- Develop, implement, monitor and report on customer specific sales processes and account plans on annual, quarterly and monthly basis to meet / exceed sales targets.
- Analyze customer information to discover and manage business risks and opportunities.
- Recommend products and services (value proposition) that match to customers strategic and tactical directions.
- Initiate contract negotiations including terms and conditions, product offers and pricing in line with overall product and pricing strategies and guidelines.
- Able to conduct business reviews and Joint Business Planning with HQ-level stakeholders, mapping out the full-year promotional plan for assigned accounts, while identifying growth opportunities and aligning strategies to maximize sales and brand visibility.
2) Monitoring
- Monitor profitability, sales rebate spends, operational costs and accruals for assigned accounts, subsequently review with finance to highlight any deviations from previously agreed plans.
- Support in the preparation of sales forecasts and budgets.
3) Communication
- Cascade of agreed detailed plans and appropriate follow up with the Modern Trade Sales Execution team through clear and structured 2 way communication.
- Prepare and cascade Key Account Plans (Annual, Quarterly and Monthly) to Modern Trade Sales Execution team for execution.
- Communicate all changes, risks and opportunities in a timely manner.
To be successful in this application, you will need to have:
- At least 6 years working experience in key account management within a fast-paced and highly competitive business environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Customer Relationship Management, Communications, Business Administration or any other related field.
- Excellent in planning and negotiation.
- Strong market knowledge of trade and competitors.
