Job Description
About the company
We are one of the world's earliest and most established digital asset platforms, serving tens of millions of users across global markets. Consistently ranked among the top exchanges worldwide, we support a comprehensive suite of trading and wealth management products across thousands of digital assets. With thousands of employees spanning key financial hubs globally, we operate with a remote-first, high-autonomy culture that attracts talent who thrive in fast-moving, intellectually demanding environments. We are building the financial infrastructure of the next era of the internet.
Why this role
Verification is the first thing every user meets and the line between the platform and the people who should never be on it. You'll own that product end-to-end — who gets through, how fast, and on what evidence — across markets whose rules contradict each other. Done well, it opens jurisdictions we cannot serve today without loosening a single control. In 12 to 24 months you'll have shipped a verification product at real scale, and you'll be one of the few people who can argue it from the regulatory side and the conversion side at once.
What you'll do
- Own the verification journey end-to-end, from first submission to approved account, across identity, liveness and address checks
- Turn the rules of each jurisdiction into product requirements engineering can build, and deliver the verification capability new markets need to open
- Design risk and fraud judgement into the flow itself, so decisions happen where the user is, not after
- Set priorities against pass rate, review time and manual-review rate, and defend the trade-offs between them
- Hold compliance, risk, engineering and operations to one roadmap, and own the dates on it
What you'll bring
Non-negotiables
- Has owned KYC or AML product end-to-end in production at a crypto exchange or a cross-border fintech, through launch and the iterations after it
- Reads regulatory text and turns it into product rules without waiting for legal to translate it first
- Has designed risk and fraud decisioning into a live user flow and tuned it against pass rate and review cost, rather than reviewing it from the outside
- Drives compliance, risk, engineering and operations to a single decision and a date when they disagree
Bonus
- Has launched verification in several jurisdictions whose requirements contradicted each other
- Has put machine learning into a live identity or fraud decision and knows where it stopped earning its cost
