The LCA Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing Life Cycle Assessments across the organization to support sustainability strategy, product development, and regulatory compliance. This role leads data collection, ensures methodological consistency, and delivers high-quality analyses that quantify environmental impacts across the product life cycle. The LCA Coordinator collaborates closely with product teams, R&D, supply chain, and sustainability functions globally to translate findings into actionable insights.
The role is located at our office in Batu Gajah or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Coordinate and oversee the work with LCA, EPDs and other third-party certifications
* Coordinate and work with the company's LCA modelling and reporting software
* Monitors and analyzes changes to product-related sustainability regulations and relevant international standards related to product sustainability topics, including life cycle assessments and environmental product declarations.
* Supports the development of written and visual summaries of the company's product sustainability data, including LCA results, environmental product footprints, product sustainable content data, etc
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of their expectations and needs
* Train and support internal teams
* Identify opportunities for the company to improve its sustainability performance
* Track and report on progress against sustainability goals
* Support the development of sustainability-related policies and procedures
* Stay up to date on developments in the field of sustainability
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Master's degree or PhD in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Materials Science, or a related field
* At least 3-4 years of professional experience in sustainability or a related field
* Project management experience
* Experience in LCA modelling, using software such as GaBi, SimaPro or similar
* Familiarity with environmental regulations
* Ability to work and collaborate effectively across R&D, operations, procurement, and sustainability functions
* Able to work effectively in an international cultural environment
* Strong organizational and administrative skills, including self-motivation and time management
* Excellent writing and communication skills
* Fluent English is required
