Ipoh’s assembly and test site for optical components, transceivers, and wavelength management equipment, remains committed to the expansion of Coherent Corporation, accelerated by the growth of next generation products to meet the increasing demands for network bandwidth and data storage.
In addition to growth in other countries such as China, Vietnam, UK and Germany, Malaysia also benefits from the company's technology. In Malaysia, the company is expanding the facility to undertake design, development, and manufacturing of optoelectronic signal converter (800G), Coherent modules and reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexers (ROADMS) with RM253M investments in Chemor, Perak.
