Lead, Product Development

Cagamas is seeking an experienced Lead, Product Development to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing its wholesale and retail product strategy, while advancing the organisation's ESG agenda.

This role partners closely with senior management and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive product innovation, strengthen the wholesale and retail portfolio, and advance Cagamas sustainable finance agenda.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead and execute wholesale and retail product strategies in line with Cagamas mission, vision, and sustainability goals.
2. Originate, structure, and deliver new products and enhancements by translating market intelligence and stakeholder needs into viable solutions.
3. Provide strategic oversight of existing products to ensure continued relevance, operational efficiency, and market competitiveness.
4. Drive the development and governance of sustainable finance products, including compliance with sustainability frameworks, reporting, and assurance requirements.
5. Engage key stakeholders through client briefings, selected marketing initiatives, and cross‑functional collaboration.
6. Support senior management through strategic reporting, board and committee submissions, and special projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum 7 years experience in wholesale and retail banking, with exposure to product development and knowledge of both conventional and Islamic products.
2. Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with proven experience in leading product development initiatives.
3. Solid technical foundation in finance, including cash flow analysis and financial modelling.
4. Well‑versed in regulatory frameworks and sustainability standards.
