Lead, Risk Analytics and MIS

Job Summary

Primary responsibilities are to lead and manage the Management Intelligence & System (MIS) team to manage all risk reporting requirements with the main focus on CCRIS, BASEL 3, ESG etc. to meet regulatory and management requirements. On CCRIS, the main responsibilities are to supervise the overall CCRIS reporting operations which included the accountability for the data accuracy, timeliness and completeness of any CCRIS data submission to BNM. The role will also act as the Bank's Project Manager in leading and overseeing any risk reporting systems enhancements covering data input validation, extraction, transformation and reporting to BNM through the participation in the Bank's Data Warehouse and Risk Management's Data Mart Project.

Other responsibility included managing the Company Credit Management System (CCMS) and Group Customer Management Platform (GMP) in providing administration and support whenever necessary. This will involve liaising with Bank of China Limited (BOCL) and Bank of China Hong Kong (BOCHK) on any system enhancements, upgrades, testing and participation in disaster recovery planning exercises including the development of system specifications documents.

Responsibilities

1. Manage the MIS Reporting Team and ensure work done by the team is of quality and within the accepted guidelines and rules.
2. Ensure CCRIS update and reporting operations are properly implemented at every level in BOCM through the update and dissemination of new BNM guidelines. Review and ensure all CCRIS related reports to be submitted are accurate, complete and within the stipulated deadlines.
3. Provide support to departments/ branches on credit process flows, guidelines and policies in relation to CCRIS reporting requirements.
4. Monitor, identify, propose and implement remedial actions on identified weaknesses/ non-compliances on risk data that could potentially jeopardize the bank's standard compliance rules.
5. Main liaison officer between departments/ branches in BOCM on any major projects/ issues related to CCRIS enhancements e.g. new BNM specifications or other initiatives e.g. BASEL 3 Credit RWA, ESG (CCPT classification) etc.
6. Prepare a monthly assessment report for Management on any project enhancement/work progress conducted by the MIS Team.
7. Provide administration support for Company Credit Management System (CCMS) and Group Customer Management Platform (GMP) in system enhancements, upgrades, testing and participation in disaster recovery planning exercises.
8. Liaise with local, BOCL and BOCHK IT team on any technical system specifications and the development of end-user requirements specifications.
9. Work closely with local IT team to support the BOCM's Data Warehouse Project in data specifications.
10. Acts as Project Manager for the development of RMD's Data Mart to ensure data quality in risk reporting and to develop risk reporting automation.
11. Provide knowledge and guidance to the RMD team on the usage of risk analytics and business intelligence tools like Python, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau etc.
12. Keep abreast of the provision and changes in the statutory requirements, Head Office Policies and Bank Negara Malaysia's Guidelines to ensure due compliance on all required risk reporting.
13. Assume any other related functions/ accountabilities as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Banking and Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in risk analytics.
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
