Lead Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities-Analyze and understand the existing multi-brand Next.js application architecture, shared packages, business functionality, integrations, and deployment model.

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Develop features using Next.js App Router, including server-side functionality, route handlers, dynamic routes, caching, and revalidation.

Work within a Turborepo / pnpm monorepo architecture containing multiple brand applications and reusable shared packages.

Build reusable frontend components, shared libraries, domain models, and APIs that can be consumed across multiple brands.

Integrate with Contentful CMS using GraphQL for content retrieval, preview, publishing, and content-driven digital experiences.

Develop and maintain typed GraphQL queries, domain mappings, content models, and CMS-driven components.

Implement and maintain Contentful webhooks, preview capabilities, cache revalidation, and content synchronization workflows.

Develop and maintain Algolia-based search and indexing capabilities.

Integrate with Cloudinary for image and media management.

Support video experiences including video playback, CDN integration, and secure URL-signing capabilities.

Support advertising, analytics, experimentation, tracking, SEO, sitemap, RSS, and syndication capabilities.

Develop and maintain APIs supporting search indexing, content revalidation, video signing, webhooks, scheduled jobs, and other operational workflows.

Optimize applications for performance, SEO, accessibility, responsive design, caching, and Core Web Vitals.

Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.

Troubleshoot application and production issues using logging, monitoring, tracing, and observability platforms.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support application deployment through Vercel and AWS.

Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, code reviews, and engineering standards.

Collaborate with architects, product teams, UX, QA, DevOps, editorial/content teams, and other engineering teams.
