About the Team: Our Quality Assurance Engineering team is dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards for our regional digital banking products. We engage in numerous projects utilizing cutting-edge technology stacks such as cloud computing, AI, and machine learning to create innovative financial solutions

Job Overview: This is a Regional Quality Assurance Lead role which will manage quality assurance efforts across several squads of GX Bank and GXS Bank within the organization focussing on Automation Testing and integrating AI where ever seems possible. This role includes working with various stakeholders to determine testing requirements, creating detailed test plans, and ensuring that QA initiatives align with regional goals and local regulations for the specific services and products.

Responsibilities

  • Regional Quality Oversight: Provide a regional overview of quality, identifying common patterns, gaps, and improvement opportunities that country-specific QA leads might miss.
  • Standardization and Best Practices: Define standardized QA processes, share best practices, and optimize testing efforts. Establish standardized QA practices across the region.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Assess risks, identify cross-country and cross-function dependencies, and evaluate potential bottlenecks in Quality Assurance. Capable of mitigating risks pertaining to integration, scalability, and performance testing, while ensuring compliance with local banking regulations.
  • Liaison and Alignment: Serve as a liaison between Quality Assurance and regional Business, Product, Engineering, and downstream compliance and regulations. Align QA initiatives with regional objectives and local regulations to strengthen product strategy and ensure compliance.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Facilitate regional knowledge sharing through cross-country training, workshops, and communication of project insights. Mentor QA engineers regionally, ensuring a comprehensive grasp of quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Quality Reporting: Publish regular Quality reports with details on quality metrics, defect trends, and test coverage.

Test Strategy & Design

Develop and maintain automation frameworks: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and robust test automation frameworks. This includes defining the architecture, coding standards, and best practices.

Create and execute test plans: Work with the QA lead or manager to create comprehensive test plans and test strategies for new features and products.

Identify automation opportunities: Analyze manual test cases and business processes to identify candidates for automation, prioritizing based on risk, business value, and return on investment.

CI/CD Integration & Reporting

Integrate with CI/CD pipelines: Set up and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to ensure continuous testing and feedback.

Monitor test results and reporting: Configure dashboards and reports to provide clear, real-time visibility into test execution status, test coverage, and product quality.

Perform root cause analysis: Investigate and analyze failed automated tests to determine the root cause of the failure, whether it's a code defect, an environment issue, or a test script problem.

Collaboration & Mentorship

Collaborate with development teams: Work closely with developers to understand new features and provide feedback on potential testability issues early in the development cycle.

Mentor junior QAs: Provide guidance and training to other QA engineers on automation best practices, framework usage, and scripting.

Champion quality: Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle, promoting a shift-left approach to testing.

Requirements:

  • Any Diploma/Bachelor Degree works, if you are good in Quality Assurance Engineering
  • 7-10 years of strong experience of designing automation tools and automation frameworks
  • Experience working with tools like Selenium, Webkit but good to consider working experience with other tools as well
  • Action oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills and should have high capability in driving issues to fix
  • Strategically leveraged GenAI tools to optimize testing processes and enhance test management, leading to significant efficiency gains.
  • Enthusiastic OR being creative about bringing automation OR integrating AI avenues and exploring it further within the team.
  • Someone who likes to share knowledge and experience as a Tech lead or a People manager as this role requires to work and manage a super talented team of Quality Assurance Engineers
