About the Role
As a Solution Architect (SA), you will be responsible and accountable for bridging the gap between business problems and technology solutions. You will identify the best technology solution among all possible options to address existing business challenges. You will describe the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of the software to project stakeholders. Additionally, you will define features, phases, and solution requirements, and provide specifications according to which the solution is designed, managed, and delivered.Role Purpose:
This role serves as a strategic bridge between business strategy and technology execution, ensuring that architectural solutions translate business objectives into measurable outcomes. It requires applying both business acumen and architectural discipline to drive enterprise-wide solution and business capability design, shaping initiatives that enhance business agility, operational resilience, and long-term value creation.
You will be accountable for aligning architecture decisions with enterprise priorities, guiding transformation programs, governance, and assurance of end-to-end solutions that span across domains-enabling business transformation and operational excellence. This includes driving architectural blueprints that foster scalability, simplification, and innovation across the organization.
Reporting directly to the Head of Architecture (HOD), you will work closely with senior leadership, solution architects, application portfolio leads, and business stakeholders to maximize value realization from technology investments. You will champion architecture and technology governance to ensure design integrity and alignment with enterprise standards, digital strategy, and future-state target architecture.
Key responsibilities include identifying the best technology solution capability roadmap among all possible options to solve existing business problems, working closely with the portfolio solution architects team. This involves describing the structure, characteristics, and behavior of software to project stakeholders defining features, phases, and solution requirements and providing specifications according to which the solution is designed, managed, and delivered. You will lead and provide the overall technology business portfolio details and end-to-end solution design for business cases, projects, change requests (CR), operational fixes, and strategic fixes to ensure solution designs address and align with business or technical user requirements. Additionally, you will provide architecture assurance aligned with the target blueprint architecture, roadmap, and standards. The outputs you produce will serve as reference architecture for development and operational teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Alignment and Business Partnership
Act as a key bridge between business strategy and technology execution, ensuring architectural decisions directly support enterprise goals and measurable business outcomes.
Lead the translation of business requirements into technical requirements to ensure accuracy and quality across all aspects of business and technical needs.
Partner with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and product owners to convert strategic objectives into executable architecture blueprints and technical roadmaps.
Drive solution strategies that enhance business agility, operational excellence, and cost optimization.
Enterprise Solution Design and Governance
Own the ARB process and lead the team in producing architectural and solution design diagrams for business case approval and end-to-end development requirements, ensuring alignment with high-level design requirements in related TBP and ADR sections for development and testing reference.
Provide high-level solution design (HLD) to address end-to-end technical requirements aligned with business needs, enabling further development of low-level design (LLD) by solution architecture and development teams.
Present TBP at ARB Forum for architecture approval to ensure alignment with IT strategy, roadmap, standards, and investment. Prepare and present ADR at ARB Forum for change requests to ensure existing services and products remain uninterrupted by new solutions.
Identify, present, and demonstrate innovative and emerging information technology systems and applications to the Technology Council and Community.
Lead and plan solution design readiness based on business streams and urgency of requirements, aligning with business prioritization and delivery timelines.
Review, analyze, and endorse technical documents (e.g., Impact Analysis, Functional Design, Interface Agreement) to ensure stakeholder agreement and readiness for configuration and development.
Review, interpret, analyze, and respond to detailed Business Requirements Specifications (BRS) to ensure alignment between business user expectations and the current technology environment.
Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in developing enterprise architecture and maximizing return on technology investment.
Define and design technology solutions within the agreed enterprise architecture to help the business meet its objectives.
Collaborate across teams to achieve shared business outcomes.
Participate in meetings to gather perspectives, share information, resolve issues, and develop necessary technical designs and artifacts.
Coordinate and schedule discussions with application development teams and business users to confirm solutions meet business requirements.
Collaborate with technical teams to resolve challenges as they arise.
Guide and mentor junior team members, defining best practices and blueprints for the team.
Engage, manage, and influence senior leadership and business users to create architecture aligned with business needs.
Serve as the business architecture and subject matter expert for business users, responsible for technical design and decision-making.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or a related discipline.
At least 8 years of professional experience in business IT and solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or technical product management across multiple domains, including web and/or application development experience in insurance, design, user experience, digital, IoT, and computing fields is preferred.
Strong background in cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred), DevOps, integration, and enterprise applications.
Well-versed in the latest digital innovations and capable of transforming vision or ideas into reality within existing constraints must be willing to work hands-on.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid understanding of the product management lifecycle and web/application best practices, with proven experience in software architecture design.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
Familiarity with a variety of methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and strong knowledge of common software development practices.
