Role
The Lead, Strategy & Special Projects is a managerial position within the Group Strategy team, reporting to the Head of Strategy & Special Projects. The role manages a team of project leaders and junior analysts with key objectives including:
- Supporting the definition of the Group's long-term strategy and future direction
- Developing and implementing strategic initiatives across the Group in collaboration with other departments
- Acting as an internal strategy consultant on ad-hoc key business issues within the Group
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a top global university (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)
- MBA from a top-tier business school is a notable advantage
- CFA / ACCA qualification is an added advantage
- Minimum 5 years of work experience
- Background in reputed strategy consulting firms is highly preferred
- Familiarity with the financial services industry demonstrated through past project work or roles in the sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiar with numerical and financial analysis (business case modelling, financial modelling, operational analysis)
- Excellent project management and execution skills
- Strong leadership with team management and coaching experience
- Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel
- Persuasive communication skills, especially with senior stakeholders
- Growth mindset and eagerness to learn
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI is a plus
