Job Description

Orius is seeking a talented and experienced Lead UI/UX Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading UI/UX design initiatives across a variety of projects, including product design, eCommerce projects, website projects, and other digital endeavors. As a Lead UI/UX Designer, you will have the opportunity to shape the visual and interactive aspects of our client's digital products and platforms, ensuring they are both visually appealing and user-friendly.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the UI/UX design process from concept to execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.
  • Conduct discovery, user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to iterate and improve designs.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across products and projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture within the team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design.
  • Present your work to peers, business stakeholders, and leadership, async and in-person, in a clear and articulated manner, paired with great story-telling skills

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Designer/ UI UX Designer
  • Able to lead design conversations based on understanding how design impacts business
  • Understand design best practices
  • Enthusiastic about designing digital products, and working on complex challenges
  • Great eye for detail
  • Experience with design and prototyping software (we use Figma!)
  • Love to solve problems and be challenged
  • To be a constant learner. You will be always growing both personally and with the team
  • The ability to take ownership of the design process and work as a self-directed member
  • Super familiarity with Figma, Ilustrator and others.
