Job Description

Senior Executive, Learning & Development

We are seeking a Senior Executive, Learning & Development to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Talent Management, you will work closely with various departments to ensure employees are continuously developing, informed, and engaged.

This role is independent and pivotal, supporting the implementation and rollout of both talent management and learning & development initiatives across the organisation. You will contribute to the delivery of learning programs, digital learning solutions, and talent development initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives and workforce needs.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Learning Needs Analysis & Recommendations

  • Analyse workforce learning needs, role competencies, and existing capability gaps using qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Collaborate with businesses and functions to assess current and future learning requirements.
  • Translate data and insights into actionable learning and development recommendations.
  • Support the shaping and rollout of learning initiatives that align with business and talent objectives.

2. Vendor Evaluation & Logistics

  • Assess external vendor course content to ensure alignment with training needs and quality standards.
  • Support the selection of suitable external learning providers for development programmes.
  • Coordinate with internal trainers and external vendors on training schedules, logistics, and delivery requirements to ensure a seamless end-to-end learning experience.

3. Programme Support, Implementation & Evaluation

  • Independently support and coordinate the implementation and rollout of learning and talent development initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of learning programmes through clear communication of objectives and coordination of participant engagement.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret learning data including participation rates, feedback, and evaluation results.
  • Support the evaluation of learning effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and provide data-informed recommendations.
  • Coordinate vendor payments and support HRD Corp claims, reimbursements, and related documentation.

4. E-Learning & Virtual Learning Platforms

  • Manage virtual learning communities and maintain e-learning content used in internal training programmes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external content experts to develop engaging and high-quality learning materials aligned with skills frameworks.
  • Support the administration, upkeep, and continuous improvement of digital learning platforms and virtual learning tools.

5. Talent Development Initiatives

  • Support the implementation and rollout of internal talent development initiatives such as mentorship programmes, succession planning activities, and other talent initiatives.
  • Assist in initiatives aimed at strengthening employee capability, career development, and internal mobility.
  • Assist in supporting talent assessments and internal mobility initiatives by coordinating schedules, tracking participation, and maintaining documentation.
  • Coordinate programme logistics, participant tracking, communications, and basic reporting for talent initiatives.

6. Learning Administration, Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support accurate learning administration, documentation, record-keeping, and reporting for programmes, audits, and governance requirements.
  • Support learning communications and engagement activities to promote awareness, participation, and uptake of learning and talent initiatives.
  • Keep up to date with learning and talent management trends and share relevant insights to continuously improve programme effectiveness.

Is This You (or Someone You Know)

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in a Learning & Development or Talent-related role within a medium to large organisation.
  • Familiarity with applying skills frameworks and working with HRD Corp requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with data, identify trends, and translate insights into practical recommendations.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment while also operating independently as an individual contributor.
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Organised and creative, able to adapt to change and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; self-driven, proactive, and able to engage stakeholders and meet deadlines independently.
  • Proficient in formatting and designing learning and communication materials using PowerPoint and Canva.
