Learning and Development Team Lead (Japanese speaker)

A world-class mobility & delivery service provider is looking for an enthusiastic Japanese & English-speaking L&D Trainer Team Lead for the Center of Excellence (COE), the heart of operations handling the most complex and critical issues escalated by customers.

About the Role

Work alongside Operations teams on standard and quality delivery and execution of training programs at the COE. This role requires strategic thinking and excellence in training delivery and executing detailed learning plans (using effective training methodologies) and an understanding of how to evaluate the effectiveness of delivery to learner experience and performance results. This role is about building training process/business expertise and excellence in training delivery for the COE and BPO Learning programs. Responsible for creating business insights on the learning experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operation, Quality, HR)

Responsibilities

• Manage team performance and drive results
• Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate employees
• Partner with Recruiting team on hiring
• Functional knowledge of area leading and act as a subject matter expert
• Address and resolve escalations
• Maintain stakeholder relationships
• Drive accountability on policies and other guidelines
• Support project work and improvements to processes
• Analyze, design, and build moderate complexity learning experiences modified for region, aligned to objectives and rooted in Adult Learning Principles within and Instructional Design
• Partner with leadership to make local decisions related to operationalizing and executing policies

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of people management experience and 1 year in training and development
• Have some experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service in-person or contact center environment

• Japanese & English proficiency
• Strong end to end project management and process improvement skills
• Previous training facilitation experience
• Basic project management skills
• Proficiency in Google Suite
